Jongkuch “JK” Mach is a colossal Australian basketball centre of South Sudanese descent, born 8 October 2007 in Perth, Western Australia. Standing 7 ft 6 in (229 cm), he is already taller than Victor Wembanyama and among the world’s tallest prospects.
He began organised basketball only at age 14 and now trains at Basketball Australia’s Centre of Excellence in Canberra, competing in the NBL1 East. Despite his limited experience, his exceptional height, mobility, and shot-blocking ability have drawn college interest from LSU, Colorado, Santa Clara, and others.
Mach’s dream is to reach the NBA, ideally joining the San Antonio Spurs alongside his idol Wembanyama. Still developing physically and skilfully, the 19-year-old remains a raw but highly intriguing long-term prospect.
